The Brazilian superstar is yet to play this season due to a knee injury but was expected to play against Empoli in Serie A this weekend.
His recovery has unsurprisingly been delayed once more, however the news coming out of Milan today is positive.
More tests were carried out on Ronaldo yesterday by the Rossoneri medical team and they claim the injury to the muscle has completely healed.
As the 31-year-old has not had any body-contact, the next stage in his rehabilitation is to gradually increase his training, before hopefully being introduced to the first-team squad at the beginning of next week.
From that moment it will take around ten days for Ronaldo to improve his sharpness and get himself ready to feature in the midweek clash at Sampdoria on October 31.
News of Ronaldo’s improvement is sure to please Milan supporters, but they will be hoping that there are no more delays to his recovery.

The Italian club confirmed that Ronaldo will travel to Bilbao, northern Spain, to play this match, and it is expected that he play for a few minutes.
Ronaldo has been away from the fields for more than two months due to a muscular injury, which at first was going to keep him from playing for just a couple of weeks but then complicated.
The Brazilian scorer may play for a few minutes next Friday with the aim to prepare his return for an official date, which is hoped to be the eighth date of the Italian League, on October 21 against Empolli.
The supporters have been waiting three months for the return of Ronaldo, who still hasn’t made his debut within the season due to the injury he suffered the past July 31 in a friendly match.
The injury of the former Real Madrid player was even labeled as a “mystery” by the European sports press, because of the long time it took the player to recover.

AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani claims that there is little wrong with Ronaldo, and predicts that the star striker will return imminently to the rossoneri’s starting lineup…
zoom - galleria Adriano Galliani told the press that Ronaldo is set for a swift return to the AC Milan lineup.
The Brazilian striker has sat out the entire season thus far amidst fitness and injury concerns, the striker at one point losing patience with the Milanese medical staff.
Now, though, Galliani claims that the all-time leading World Cup goalscorer is ready for a comeback.
“It’s not my job to talk about injuries, and I don’t wish to court controversy, but [Ronaldo] seems absolutely fine to me,” smirked Galliani.
“In the past week, he’s undergone rehabilitation exercises with full success, so I’d expect to see him back in the team soon.”
Ronaldo turned 31 years old two weeks ago, the former Inter striker insisting that he was calm and content as his recovery continued, speculating that he’d be able to return within a month.
El Fenomeno joined Milan in January from Real Madrid, netting 7 times in 14 Serie A appearances last season.
