El Fenomeno has not played all season due to a knee injury and his return to the field has been constantly delayed due to fitness setbacks.
However the 31-year-old has begun to make some real progress just recently and he last week admitted that “I am doing well and hope to be back as soon as possible.”
This Monday Ronaldo was able to begin the second phase of his athletic preparation, with some specific drills to improve his speed. He was also involved in some light training with the ball.
According to reports in Italy this all went smoothly and tomorrow the ex-Real Madrid man will finally be fit enough to start joining in with the rest of his Rossoneri team-mates.
The plan is to have Ronaldo fit for either the November 11 game with Atalanta or the November 25 trip to Cagliari.
