Carlo Ancelotti has stated on the AC Milan site that Ronaldo may not feature in tonights game against Atalanta.
“Ronaldo and Alexandre Pato are not in top shape, it’s more probable that Ronaldo will rest, who is 31 years old and is coming off six months of inactivity, compared to Pato. Ronaldo still isn’t in a great condition but he needs to play, it’s normal, also because he can get back in shape by playing.”
“Atalanta are a team similar to Udinese, they close down well and restart on the wings, they have a different formation but the attitude is the same. Our attack? The difference is that Ronaldo often goes on the wings and tries to disorientate the opposition’s defence, while Gilardino, perhaps with less quality, is a more reliable reference point in attack. Gilardino is here and will remain here.”
He also talks about Pato.
“Pato at Udine? He played a decent match, he tried two-three typical moves, he struggled to find space, but even though he did not have any major moments of brilliance, he played well. I think one of Ambrosini and Seedorf might rest tomorrow. Oddo? He has no real problem, he isn’t at his best lately, we’ll wait for him to get back into his best form and back to playing.”
