Flamengo has again offered Ronaldo a chance to return to his home country. The clubs President Marcio Braga said,
“We would welcome him with open arms. He knows that. We have already offered that to him.”
“It would be wonderful if we could count on him here, among us. That said, Ronaldo is currently negotiating a one-year extension of his contract with Milan, so he will have to choose.”
Milan have yet to offer Ronaldo a contract but Adriano Galliani has said many times before that Milan would not abandon an injured player. I would say that Milan will wait till the end of the season to see what Ronaldo decides before renewing ghis current contract. If Ronaldo decides to retire then he will retire with a Milan shirt.

During a press conference held on the eve of the match between Palermo, Carlo Ancelotti spoke about Ronaldo’s recovery and his thoughts on what the Brazilian should do.
“I did not speak to Ronaldo yesterday, I did so in the previous days. The idea that I came up with is that he has not yet taken the right road, he is still uncertain on his future, but he will take the right road. Now he must remain calm, he cannot do anything as he has the foot blocked for at least 30 days. We will see in future if he will put in the right will to recover. I say that he has a great opportunity, in the bad luck.
Carlo Ancelotti also believes that Ronaldo can prove to everyone that he is not lazy as he has been labelled in the past.
“He has always been considered a bit lazy, maybe this is the right time to deny everyone and everything, maybe even himself.”

Ronaldo spoke to a Brazilian TV Show today and hinted the possibility of Retirement. He also admitted that he was unsure which club he would be playing for if he recovers from his knee injury.
“I have to be prepared for the possibility of retiring.”
“I know it won’t be easy. It will be a very tough recovery and something might happen during the recovery period which means I cannot play again. ”
“But I will leave that possibility aside until the end of the rehabilitation. If then my knee still hurts every day, even after it has mended, maybe it would be time to say goodbye to football.
“I have to make a good recovery so I can ride a bike with my son and run with him without pain.”
However, rumors persist that Brazilian outfit Flamengo are monitoring his rehabilitation closely and seek to bring the 31-year-old back to his homeland.
“It is not the best moment to talk about Flamengo or Milan or any other club,” he continued.
“Logically, no club wants a 31-year-old player who has had two operations, suffered terrible injuries to his knees and is doubtful to play again.
“However, at the same time, I don’t need any charity by any club. I just thank God for my history in football.”
