Ronaldo - O Fenomeno

Zidane was not granted permission to speak to Ronaldo in hospital because the operator did not know who he was.

French legend Zinedine Zidane contacted the hosiptal yesterday wishing to speak to Ronaldo. However, he was denied the right after the operator asked who he was and what relation he had with Ronaldo. The operator then refused to forward the call to Ronaldo stating that he did not know who Zidane was as assumed that it was just a fan trying to speak to Ronaldo.

Zidane is a close friend and former colleague of Ronaldo. They shared five years together at Madrid and are both UNICEF Ambassadors.

Fabio Capello coached Ronaldo during his time with Madrid. The relationship between Fabio Capello and Ronaldo wasn’t the best and they continued to criticise eachother even after they both left the club.

However, Fabio Capello has refound his love for Ronaldo by publicly stating that Ronaldo is the best player he has ever coached and that he is even better then Marco Van Basten.

“Unfortunately I saw it live and I was very sad. “Aside from everything that’s been said, I have always claimed he is the best player I’ve ever coached, even superior to Marco Van Basten.

“Unfortunately this is a very serious injury and he will have to work hard to come back.

He also added that he hopes Ronlado witll return to football.

“I hope he does, because players like him are too important for football. He has to make it, he has to find back the pride and the will to come back.”
