Wenger: Ronaldo out makes no difference

Posted February 17, 2008

Wenger has stated that Ronaldo being out of this Wednesday Champions League clash with Milan will not effect the result of the game.

Ronaldo is out but I don’t feel he was hyper-competitive,” he said.

“Of course he could still have come on but he was already past his best.”

The Arsenal boss is said to be more worried about Fifa Player of the Year Kaka.

“Kaka made the difference last year in this competition, especially against Celtic,” he opined.

“He’s the guy who can dominate a situation and in 10 seconds get to the other side of the pitch and score a goal.

“Because of him we need to be more cautious in the centre than we usually are. He’s especially dangerous at counter-attacking.”

Milan hope to have Alexandre Pato and Seedorf back for the game.

Wenger is a awesome manager but he needs to respect what Ronaldo has done. Ronaldo’s career has come to a slow down due to his injuries and nothing else. Without his injuries he would be the best in the world for a very long time.
