Ronaldo included in Corinthians squad to play next three games
Finally after a year and 11 days after surgery, Ronaldo will play. Ronaldo has been named in the Corithians squad by coach Mano Menezes for the next three games. After reports surfaced that Mano Menezes was upset at the Brazilian media for putting pressure on him to play Ronaldo, it seems it has worked.
Ronaldo could make his debut on Wednesday against Northwestern in Sao Paulo and then will travel on the road to play against Marilia and Itumbiara in the Brazilian Cup. It has been said that Mano Menezes will give Ronaldo a run against all three teams so that Ronaldo can be match fit to face Palmeiras on the 8th of March.
Corinthians Coach says he will decide when Ronaldo plays not the media
Corinthians coach Mano Menezes has lashed out at the Brazilian media after they reported that Ronaldo will feature in the match against Palmeiras on the 8th of March.
Everyone is excited about Ronaldo returning to action but the coach is getting fed up with the continuous rumours and pressure from the media.
“I will decide when Ronaldo returns and no-one should put me under any pressure by indicating this date and that time,” the coach told Globoesporte.com.
“I have a responsibility alongside my staff and the player to decide when the time is right for him to return.
“No Corinthians director has told me anything about the game against Palmeiras. This will be a particularly prestigious game for us, but this will not determine whether or not Ronaldo plays.”
