Still no love for Douglas
Some players have been severely criticised by the Corinthian fans and among them is Douglas. Douglas got into the bad books on the day of Ronaldo’s debut as most believed that the phenomenon could have scored if Douglas had passed the ball to him.
After this the fans have continuously jeered Douglas and I don’t blame them as his contribution to the team has been very poor. Douglas did play a part in the goal against Santos but before that
and since then Douglas has not done much and at times has even been reluctant to chase down the ball.
Mano says that he repects the fans views but explains that he will not be selling Douglas as a result of this.
“I can lose every player that gets booed. The coach needs to have a personality and see who can be retained or who can leave. I will not create instability to the teams production so a decision will not be made now,” explained Mano.
