Ronaldo injured against Atletico-PR

Ronaldo and Marcio Azevedo

Ronaldo was injured in the game against Atletico-PR after being hit in the ribs. Ronaldo complained about pain in the ribs after a challenge from Marcio Azevedo in the first half and was taken off to be examined by Paulo de Faria.

“We have had x-ray examinations and CT’s. Ronaldo is in great pain but there is no fracture. He has suffered a chest injury and should be okay for Sunday,” said club doctor Paulo de Faria.

The defeat was Corinthians first this season and it could have be a costly one if Ronaldo does not recover in time for the second leg of the Paulista State Finals this Sunday.

In the Copa do Brasil, the Corinthians will face Atletico-PR at home next Wednesday and will need to win by one or more goals to advance to the next round.

i think this game was too fast for ronaldo as he needs to adapt to that kind of a play after his comeback he has not played a high tempo game as this one but he is getting there he is the best … RONALDO FOREVER.

It’s good that it’s only a minor injury and he can play Sunday.

This is not too bad. As long as it’s not his knee’s Ronnie shouldn’t have any problem. Few broken ribbs wouldn’t stop him anyway ;)
