According to Ancelmo Gois, a columnist for the newspaper ‘O Globo,’ we could see Ronaldo return to the Brazilian team against Paraguay and Uruguay in June.
Dunga will be naming the 23 players in the Selecao on the 21st of this month for the Confederation Cup and the games in the eliminatory round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Ancelmo Gois has said that the CBF will not take public opinion when deciding if Ronaldo is fit to be on the Brazlian Team. It will depend on Ronaldo’s weight and his performance on the pitch.
Last Sunday Dunga was in the stands at Pacaembu to watch Ronaldo close up. After the game Ronaldo was named the Cups best player and led his team to the State title.
Having been disappointed with the return of Ronaldo in World Cup 2006, the president of the CBF, Ricardo Teixeira, has already given approval for the return of Ronaldo to the Selecao. However, the CBF is concerned that the popular pressure for convening the attacker will damage the team.

I think it’s too early for the games for WC in June. Last Sunday, Ronaldo wasn’t good. He is not able to dribbling his defenders yet.
Dunga said that Ronaldo have to play a lot of games to reach international level and he is right.
But for the games in september, it will be the good moment. Ronaldo mustn’t take any risks, not now…
A fine trophy he´s holding there. Must be an enormous feeling to recieve one again after such a long time
Ronaldo dribbled people in his 1st corinthians game. He just seems to be a little less confident than he used to.
Maybe its his age, when you are young all you want is solo glory. Age brings more “team play”.
Ronaldo needs the confidence of a player such as Ryan Giggs, I swear that man is TOO good for the premier league. In terms of useful skill he is right up there with the propper Ronaldo.
Even Zidane himself said that when he saw Ryan Giggs play, it reminded him of Luis Ronaldo.
But yes, Ronaldo needs more confidence. I hope that trophy brings him it.

Thank you for the comment but i have to say something for all do not forget that ronaldo had 13 syrgery to his knees and he is playing and making dribbles and its not easy for any player such as ronaldo can be survive so i think at the moment ronaldo is playing very well but still he need the confidence in his knee and he need to feel that he is in good way confidence dont come in days or months it needs time even that ronaldo still the best player in the world,we need all to wait and give him time and the phenomenon is back most important that we see Ronaldo again….

It makes me very Happy to know they gave Ronaldo the best PLAYER AWARD of the tournament!! but i still think he needs to improve alittle more.If he goes now on the selecao he might not play well and right away there gonna say hes done…but if he takes it easy and plays around september, he would be in better shape and hes gonna feel more confortable with the ball. i love Ronaldo, hes being my favorite player since i was 11, and i dont want to see him play 2 games for the selecao and then get kicked out or even get injured again right away.I guess we all just got to be patient, but he is great…hes always giving us something to watch for…look at what he gave us now..BEST PLAYER IN THE TOURNAMENT!! VAMOS RONALDOO!!
