Ronaldo on speed

Coach Mano Menezes revealed that at start of the season, he started to doubt the seriousness of the Corinthians goalkeeper, after the amount of goals scored against him by Ronaldo in training.

Ronaldo is in his seventh month with the Corinthians but he still manages to cause amazement. This Thursday, in an interview with Slav Arena, the coach Mano Menezes revealed what he thought was a lack of commitment from the goalkeeper.

“In early completion of training, I was very surprised to find that the goalkeeper was not able to predict the placement of Ronaldo’s shots. The way he hits the ball is so different to where the ball is placed. I have never seen anything at this level. It seems like the ball slowly enters the chute but the keeper just can not reach it,” said Menezes.

The coach also admitted that with the recent problems, Ronaldo did not expect to produce that much in such a short time. The coach gives credit to the board and team in helping Ronaldo reach this level.

“With his technical qualities and the way the Corinthians board has behaved is the reason why he has been able to produce in such a short time. Although the board had there expectations, they always had autonomy to drive the thing technically. It also has much to do with the team. Ronaldo trained with a team of great quality, which helps him technically,” added the coach.

Mano also pointed out the work ethics of Ronaldo, as he never asked for any perks.

“This creates a good atmosphere. If the company’s biggest star does what he needs to do, the others will as well,” concluded Menezes.

I like this picture so much. While three of the defenders are looking to their right side searching the ball,Ronaldo tries to escape to score a goal.Only one defender is aware of Ronaldo’s escape, but he can’t catch him.:)

    Journalist :

Would you like to be like your idol Ronaldo?

    Benzema annswers :

I think Ronaldo is the best player in the world. He inspires me and I don’t know if I will ever play at his level, but I will work hard to achieve that.

I see riot beetween Cristiano and Benzema , sooner or leater we will see Benzema and Kaka waving their hands at Cristiano for not passing the ball .

Good to see Ronaldo scoring goals in bunches.. this is how it should be. After all, he is one of the greatest strikers of all time, he should be able to dominate the Brazillian leagues with ease. I am not surprised he scores so easily, his teammates need to PASS HIM THE BALL as much as they can. That is how Corinthians will remain successful. Give Ronaldo the ball in 20-25 yds to goal, and he will show his class.

Exactly. Ronaldo is a very experienced striker.

    when Ronaldo gets the ball
it is very different with others
when a striker gets the ball in the penalty box
they usually see the goalkeeper after they get the ball . but if you see Ronaldo
he checks how much defenders are in front of him
and he checks where the GoalKeeper is Standing
    Before he gets the ball
that is the reason he Fakes the Defenders and make a perfect goal
i think he is the kind like Mozzart . Jackson

As you guys stated in previous comments, for Corinthians to have the best success possible, the ball needs to go through Ronaldo a whole lot, its a scientific fact that when R9 has the ball anywhere around or in the box, 99% its gona be a goal. He had 4 chances last nite, scored a hat trick out of them. He is in a league of his own.

P.S: I’ve always liked Benzema for admiring R9, I wish he had #9 in Madrid.

Ronaldo. Nos haces llorar, reir, gritar, saltar, alucinar, entusiasmar. Eres una etapa en el fútbol. La época de Pele, la época de Ronaldo. La época sin Ronaldo, y sin Pelé. Esas son las tres épocas del fútbol.
