Ronaldo against Palmeiras, 26th July 2009

It has been confirmed today that Ronaldo will undergo surgery on his hand after fracturing it in the game against Palmeiras.

The surgery should happen before the weekend but doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down before they can operate on his hand.

“Sure, it will be operated. We are just waiting to fall in swelling to perform surgery. It should happen before the weekend,” said the doctor by telephone to GLOBOESPORTE

After the surgery Ronaldo will be able to return to training in a week but will not be able to train with the rest of the group until four to five weeks.

    Thats Crap mate!

Feel upset for his abscence for all those games!
But no worries he will find his way thru as usuall.

He just needs to practice hard and come back this time 100% fit! and hopefully no more injuries..

this is frustrating, the last time ronaldo played a full season was in 04-05 i think, hope the recovery goes well!

Maybe the hand will recover sooner if they operate. The 4-5 weeks are just a prediction, maybe he will manage to recover sooner. After all the injuries he knows that it’s important to be calm to recover and have a great comeback.I wouldn’t wonder if he manages to score 30 goals this season.

but it could also take longer too nameless, the way these things work is that if the operation goes to plan and the recovery afterward, he should be back in 5 weeks, maybe a day or two early, it is only negative things that will change the return date in a large way. At least he can sprint and jog with it in a cast rather than being on crouches and immobile. he can use this time off to concentrate on conditioning if he believes he can still better his fitness.

Just to say , Dunga said today -that all players are being watched for National Team, but Ronaldo -IMPORTANT PART- if not hand injury wouldnT be called for friendy Brasil plays vs Estonia.

Maybe he trys to motivate Ronaldo even more but to say that now that he is injured again, Ronaldo could ask himself Whats the ****ing point ?

Sam: Thanks for the video. Ronaldo was a magician…It’s the reason for him to lose weight, he continues to score but he is not able to make this kind of skills.

I saw this video 3 days ago and I remember some of things that are in video and for ones who didnt see it ( nothing negative towards you ) you can see the difference he made on the field , he had 17-20 years in that video and it was like he was playing against kids from 7-10 years of age.
