In the interview with Sports Spectacular, Ronaldo said that he expects to be back in 20 days but stressed that time is needed to ensure a full recovery.
“Whenever I’m hurt I am anxious to return as soon as I can. My team has had five games without defeat, I feel I could be there helping, then I get this anxiety. I don’t have a return date yet. The body needs to adapt to the titanium plate that was put in my hand. I can still train and maintain my shape. I think about 20 more days I I will be back,” said Ronaldo.
While out with an injury, Ronaldo has had the chance to think about his future and he has hinted that he could continue his journey with the Corinthians next year.
“Next year will be a historical year as it is the centenary of the Corinthians and the possibility of winning an international title such as the Libertadores would be fantastic,” explained Ronado.
Besides the centenary, 2010 is the year of the World Cup. Ronaldo has made it clear time and time again, that he would love to play in South Africa and when asked the question he was confident that there still could be a possibility.
“Dunga and the whole world is watching. I think playing with the Corinthians and to especially to play well, the possibility is great (to play in the World Cup). I do miss it a lot and I always speak to Kaka and Robinho. They tell me everything that is happening. It is good to play with players who you like, ” said Ronaldo.
It is clear that Ronaldo likes to work alongside friends. Roberto Carlos was another friends of Ronaldo’s that came close to joining the Corinthians this season but opted to stay with Fenerbache.
“I told asked him if he was interested and he was. So I started to evolve things with the President (Andres Sanchez) but then he decided to stay in Turkey,” revealed Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is still adjusting to life in Sao Paulo but is finding it difficult to deal with question about his personal life.
“It is a very large invasion when it comes to my personal life. I understand that people want to know about my life, but for my fans, for those who like football, for those who only know me on television, what matters is the football,” stated Ronaldo.

I can’t wait to see him back on the pitch.
Yeh just hope he doesn’t rush his comeback.
At his age he needs to be careful.
