Ronaldo has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo wearing his old shirt at Madrid.
“I’ve seen that he’s taken my number and my name,” said Ronaldo.
“I like that. He has a name too, so he could choose what he wanted.”
“Tell him he can do very well with that shirt and with that number. He is a very great player. It goes without saying how important he is and how well he plays football,” added Ronaldo.

Ronie is a great guy – He wouldn`t have say any negative things about Cristiano the Nr 9 @ Real Madrid thing. So I think it`s okay
Ronaldo’s response is very humble but I know that he is not 100 % ok with that. I mean Cristiano could’ve had a little respect for him and chose at least another number and write his own history with Real Madrid. He is practically overwriting the name Ronaldo. In the future 15-20 years later when people will talk about a certain Ronaldo in Real most of them won’t remember Il Fenomeno. But whatever. ONE LOVE RONIE !

I just saw other day a cool documentary of Ronaldo…… imagine how it was to operatew knee and come back after 4 months and then just playing for 6 minutes his carrer ( as It seemd then ) is over..and then after 18 !!!! months he comes back and rest is in history….

i saw Ronaldo play in 2007 and , you had Kaka there all this other players but it was in the air something special when Ronaldo touched the ball.
I agree that Cristiano would be better if he had taken another number but he will never be as bigger as Ronaldo .
Cristiano is great player still has a lot to give but who ever saW Ronaldo in Barcelona and esspecialy in Inter when in italian leauge you had butchers for defenders will tell you nobady can be compared with Fenomeno .

I think r9 has a lot of respect for cr9. We all know that there is only one R who wears the number 9 that plays for the green and yellow jersey , three time fifa player of the year, 2 time european best,2 world cup medals and all time world cup scorer.
He may be ok with it but it not a pleasant sight ti see that cr fellow in the no.9 jersy…

If the translation is correct then Ronaldo meant maybe he has a name too (Cristiano) but decided to chose my name and that’s kind of praising the real Ronaldo. Or maybe he wanted to say Ronaldo is also his name but then again it would mean he likes it because he has chosen their common name maybe because of him,the real Ronaldo.He wants to be like the real Ronaldo and that’S surely a compliment,even Cristiano doesn’t mean it this way.
Anyway,he is a great guy and really very humble. Cristiano can learn a lot from him, especially to be a respectful and humble man!
