The Corinthians lost against Cruzeiro last night, making it two consecutive losses. Since the departure of Andre Santos and Douglas the team has not been the same and the new signings have not made a positive impact on the team.
“A team is not done from night to day,” said Ronaldo. Referring to the fact that the team has changed since the start of the season and that it will take time for things to improve.
“We have to rethink and deal with these situations. Today was a great example. We had one more player and we still lost the game. We have to take more risk going into the game, know when to push. We weren’t doing anything,” said a frustrated Ronaldo.
Despite the criticism, Ronaldo did not only blame his team but also admitted that he needs to do more himself.
“It would be unfait to my teammates as I am part of the group as well. I’m not doing my part so the ball is not coming,” added Ronaldo.

well it has been months now since cristian, santos and douglas left, they must face the fact that they are weaker, no matter how long they leave it, they will not be as good. if players like cristian, douglas and santos do not care about the copa libertados then why does ronaldo?? ronaldo is a big time player who has one far more things than the other guys but he seems to care about the libertados yet these players don’t?? i would have thought it would be the other way around.

if i was one of ronaldo’s team mates, i would find his criticism deeply aggravating seeing as he is overweight and does not work as hard as other players, and whilst his work rate is improving it is still considerably less than his team mates. also, i do not blame the other players for leaving, having to be in ronaldo’s shadow all of the time must be annoying at times. though a lot of pressure is taking off them, they must feel undervalued and less important.
The team should b so proud of havin ronaldo and getting the honor of playing along side with him ..at least that would be the only victory in their lyfs esp with team mates who play bad as that.

he is the teams best player so logically he has most of the responsibility. just as the coach gets most of the criticism when he gets bad results, so should the best player have that. Ronaldo isnt in a position to complain about the quality of his teammates, if he wanted to have quality team around him he should have stayed in Europe, but the clubs there didin’t want him so he plays in a worse league now where he belongs. its not as if he’s showing a lot more and playing great while the others corinthians players suck. He’s not moving and he’s slow and doesn’t improve at all, but maybe the problem is that if he does try to put in more effort into training and games he will most likely get injured.

Ronaldo has the right to criticise his teammates and his teammates have the right to criticise him if they are not happy with his effort. It doesn’t matter for me who criticised who but I’m glad Ronaldo said something at least. It’s necessary to say that something is going wrong in the club and with the team, because otherwise nothing will change. Sometimes it’s good to have a dispute in a team (I don’t know if they really have one.) so the real problems can be found and solved. Ronaldo knows very well they won’t win anything next year if their attitude – and he included himself in the criticism – and especially the management’s attitude regarding transfers won’t change at the beginning of the next season. So it’s good in my opinion someone said the truth publicly hoping things will change.
I hope they will learn from their mistakes and do a bit better wednesday! I hope the coach had a conversation with them and told them where to get off! It’s annoying to wait for a game and then it’s totally shit!

nameless, the problem is Ronaldo isn’t really standing out from the others in any way, so its not justified that he is the one to complain. Jorge Enrique could also come out in the press and say ‘I run my ass off and this guy just stands, I want a more mobile strikerto pass to’ but you dont see him doing that. something is going wrong at Corinthians, a lot in fact, but Ronaldo should be able to overcome that even on this age and form, because its the brazilian league and performing there in whatever team is the bare minimum for being in the national team. he needs to be the first to improve and lead by example because of his experience and status, but its been months and the improvement is nowhere to be seen. you know I don’t see the weight as an issue, but i’m beginning to think that he does need to shed some to improve at least a little bit in the physical part, because just jogging around and waiting for someone to pass the ball in his feet is not gonna cut it.
but when Ronaldo has got the ball, he has made good passes and has attempts at goal, however the teams usually know and this and have previously prepared by playing with a defensive formation.
I’m a huge fan of Ronaldo but last night whilst watching the game I thought to myself WTF has he done to himself!! His face looks huge and he looks close to Santa Claus in his Corinthians outfit. With all the money he should get a couple of personal trainers at the end of the season and get himself back into shape.
So many actors have had to lose and gain weight for movies, then why can’t Ronaldo do the same. If he has some sort of disorder then he should follow a strict diet and take medication for it to prevent him looking like he has. In this pic he looks like his about to explode, thats how red his face is. It can’t be good for him playing with this much weight. I know its Ronaldo but we would all say the same if we saw any ordinary person playing professional football look like he has recently.
I absolutely agree with most of these. Even though I’m a huge, huge Ronaldo fan, I asked myself yeasterday. WHY. Why is he not moving? Why isn’t he hungry for the ball? There is an answer to all questions, and I have faced the horrible truth. His weight is a huge obstacle for him to go past. He is still able to dribble past players, and make small sprints. But he has to receive the ball in a standing position, and that is most likely not going to happen, because defenders knows he is a beast, and when he gets the ball he is deadly. That’s why he is marked. He needs to improve his fitness, drop the goals, ’cause they aint getting him nowhere. Dunga is blind, so goals are not needed at all. Ronaldo needs fitness, and he needs to start running around the pitch again, as he once did when he was not troubled with weight.
My opinion of yeasterdays match: pure. But Ronaldo showed good moves out there. I’d give him 7 out of 10. I won’t speak of the rest of them.

for gods sake he’s not fat, dont all the pictures and appearances prove it? he’s not fat and therefore cant lose a lot of weight but losing just a couple of kilos will make him look better in the eyes of the public (and dunga) and give him a slight improvement in his performance which could be crucial with the way corinthians are playing.

Because of the water in his body which is anormal a nutricionist gave him the advice to drink a lot of tea in holidays and to urine a lot.
The players will get advices for their “holiday-training” and they said especially to Ronaldo he shouldn’t gain weight and he also has to strengthen his left knee in the gym when he is in holiday. I hope he does at least a little bit, I know he won’t does everything but at least he should drink a lot tea!
They will be in holiday from 7th December to 4th January.They will have 10 days of free time, and then they have to do their “homework” until 4th July. I guess it’s safer for the club to buy some new players.

Is not Ronaldo’s fault because the team is not performing.
