Adriano on Ronaldo: ‘I do not want to be in his place’

Adriano

Flamengo and Corinthians will face eachother in the biggest battle in Brazilian Football this Sunday. Both teams have the biggest stars and largest number of supporters.

On Thursday, the Emperor came to the aid of his friend Ronaldo, stating that the he did not want to be in his place.

“I do not want to be in his situation. Ronaldo has always said that Flamengo was his club but he is playing for the Corinthians. It is difficult to play againt your club. I played against Sao Paulo and did not celebrate in respect. I’m sure he will do the same,” said Adriano.

Adriano said that he always talks to Ronaldo but avoids talking about football. Both players know that they have to do well for their team and make it to the World Cup.

“We are both key players for our clubs. Every fan wants to see both of us on the field, making good moves….We know our importance and I hope we have a good match,” said Adriano.

Both Adriano and Ronaldo have fallen out of favour with Dunga. Adriano knows that if he does well with Flamengo then he will be recognised by Dunga.

“I see myself in the World Cup and Ronaldo sees it as well. If I continue at the pace that I am at now, then I believe I have a good chance,” concluded the Emperor.

Adriano was the reason why when playing online on PES6, people would put “2vs2 NO INTER”

i think in the end it will be either adriano or ronaldo for the wc squad. it would be dumb to take them both. actually adriano is ronaldo’s biggest rival for the wc, not fabiano or robinho since they are certain to go and adriano and ronaldo have similar characteristics. ronaldo primary goal should be outperforming adriano, starting on sunday.

    Exactly.

trust me ..whoever goes wc 2010..ronaldo will be happy..thats the kind of man he is ( and adriano as well as they both are best buds lol)

To be fair Adriano is leading the race right now,
time for R9 to play catch up.

At the moment I’m not sure if Robinho is really certain, because he wasn’t that great in the last games he played for Brazil before his injury. He is a winger so maybe he will go to South Africa, but his performances also for Manchester City weren’t the best recently and if he keeps going on like this maybe he won’t go to the WC2010 (even I know Dunga loves him).
And Luis Fabiano seems to be a bit nervous since Nilmar is the one who is scoring the goals. Fabiano doesn’t look great and competitive if there is someone in the NT who is also scoring many goals. But I know Dunga loves him so his place is maybe certain, especially because there are not many friendlies anymore to test. But if Fabiano also struggles in the next games I can imagine the CBF and the brazilian people would want Ronaldo even more (next to Fabiano).

nameless, robinho has been injured ALL season, he hasn’t even played for man city yet, i support them, i know, you clearly do not know. stop pretending you do. he has not played a single game for man city, so how can he have played badly recently? stop making things up. the last time he played for man city was august. no more lying please.

  12. nameless on November 27th, 2009 5:55 pm

Yeah,I mea nt the alst time he played.Don’t get mad in the first second, you can ask how I emant it before you tell me a lier! Idiot!

  13. nameless on November 27th, 2009 5:58 pm

This changes nothing to the fact he won’t maybe be certain for the WC if it’s going on like this!

kenny ==> I totally agree with you, people who give us link in another language must translate it, or at least give a little summary of it.

I translate it and I understand a little:
It is saying that the flamengo’s fan will show a banner this sunday with soming like “we want Ronaldo to represent our national colors in south africa”!
Amazing!! I hope they will really do that!!!

    About that link.
I didn’t translate it cuz i don’t understand portugueze but i use it Google translate,it’s not a perfect translation but it’s ok to get the information. In summarize in that article they are talking about Dunga’s statements and his hint about getting Ronaldo in world cup. There are other article’s where is written right the opposite.Of course I hope this is the true one.

I guess some Flamengo fans will cheer for him and some will insult him like they did last time.I can’t imagine they have forgiven him after insulting him very bad.

  17. ronau on November 28th, 2009 10:12 am

nameless, the last time robinho played was a carling cup match which are not very important and like someone said this was august, and he actually scored in that game and played well so you are still incorrect about it.

  18. nameless on November 28th, 2009 3:14 pm

However.I remember him great last season for ManCity. But if he is fit again he surely will play great but maybe he will leave ManCity. There are still rumours. He is a great player I know,I like him a lot and I want him to play at the WC2010.
