just because it will be a new season and a new year it doesn’t mean the weight is going to magically fall off. he hasn’t lost a pound since returning. dunga will not pick him, and there is the potential for him to be n embarrassment if things don’t go well at the world cup. he was blamed in 2006, and now he is huge compared to that and is playing for a poor brazilian team instead of real madrid.

It was clear he wouldn’t be in great shape in the final days of the season,but the guy is trying a lot,he did really lots of pressure (mostly in 2nd half) and hit the post 2 times,created chances and lost one clear chance,but the important thing is he tried,he wasn’t lazy and he scored.This shows he really wants to win.In the last games e.g. he was really frustrated because of his teammates who can’t pass the ball.He is interested in playing great and scoring goals.And therefore and because next season is also the Copa Libertadores I’m convinced he will do more next season. I don’t think he will look much slimmer than now,because he can’t look like in 2002 anymore,but I think he will try to have more muscles and reduce the fat percentage of his body.But because of his huge build body he won’t look much slimmer,so everybody who expects him to look like in 2002, should stop dreaming.And zox is right,it’s really ridiculous to criticise how he runs when he celebrates! ronaldo is EXTREMELY muscled. he has a huge frame. thats why only little overweight on him will look like a very fat man. but to me he looked very mobile and dynamic yesterday, which proves he’s in good shape. if he continues like this, doesnt get injured, takes care of himself during the break and shows better attitude in the copa libertadores, he will book a place for south africa nodoubt about it.
