ronaldo needs to train as hard as possible in the next couple of months, not start with light training in january and pick it up from there. if he’s out for 2 months then his chances take a huge blow. he will be completely out of shape. hopefully it wont be like that, in the link namless opsted mano said both edu and ronaldo were out because of muscular problem and it could take 60 days, but it could mean for either one of them so we should wait for the results. although if its 60 days, i can safely say the wc hope is finished.

His running is quite composed on here, compared to most times ive seen him run at corinthians.
He looks less like a Fat guy trying to run, and more like a striker going for goal.

Caca, you have really big issues! If you don’t like him,ok,but you can’t come to this site just to insult him, that’s really stupid. You can criticise him but why do you insult him?
There is still a chance for him for the WC,because I believe he wants to win everything next season (it’s maybe his last season 2010) and therefore I think he will do his best and if he is really out for 2 months I think he will be more careful with his body because he knows himself he won’t win the Copa Libertadores and be called up for the WC if he isn’t fit. Maybe he will really have a nuttritionist to control his weight. I’m still optimistic because I believe in his will to win the Copa Libertadores and to be called up for the WC2010.With Ronaldo nothing (good) is impossible!

two months is a disaster. it means starting over from scratch and not coming prepared for preseason where all the physical work is done at corinthians. during the season their trainings are technical and tactical goofing off, only time they actually train is the preseason and ronaldo will spend it in the gym, with physioterapy and light jogging. damn if its2 months, any confirmation for that?

shoot, I dont think he will make it, he is still as big as when he played his first game (FACT),
Corinthians is the wrong club for him, he is surrounded by yes men who let him train when he wants,
he has no real motivation, his fans are more bothered about 2010 then him.
If Ronaldinho (who is playing in Serie A, is fit and younger then R9) is unlikely to make Dungas squad then Ronaldo has about 7% chance of going.
I love Ronaldo more then any other player but please guys lets be realistic.

It didnt look that serious to me, and i believe when you strain a muscle it’s not that big of a problem, you’d be out for a couple of weeks sure but two months?…..
maybe they’re trying to pull of something similar as they did with giving him his third yellow card so he doesnt have to play the rest of the matches dont know why they’d do that however…..

Guys, the 2 months thing was just because Mano said “we lost two important players (Ronaldo and Edu) and it can last 60 days until they are fit”. But this was just his opinion,it was not like the doctors said it because Mano said it directly after the game.So he doesn’t know it too, maybe the injury is not that bad.For me it alos didn’t look like it’S a very serious injury.Ronaldo was lying on the ground but then when he stood up he didn’t have a very painful face,I mean he didn’t look like he has a really bad injury.

Oh yeah, where was the Ronaldo banner at El Classico too??????
Good news. Ronaldo’s physiotherapist says here they have to evaluate the level of his injury but it looks like it’s just level 1!
This is “the best” in this situation.
He says Ronaldo will stay at the medical center until his injury is healed, so he won’t have holidays before the season ends. And he says that it was decided from the club to not play Ronaldo in the last game of this season, even if he didn’t have this injury. (I don’t know why.)
So there is still hope!

a vacation when he is recovered is all well and good, but i thought he wanted to lose weight for the new season? everyone keeps saying he will lose weight for next season, there is only a few months for this, it isn’t going to magically come off when he clicks his fingers, at the moment i don’t know what to think. however i do agree with S-DUB, especially with his comments about ronaldinho. some would argue it would be naive and dangerous of dunga to use one of his striker slots on a player who is so injury prone. supposing brazil were unlucky and lost fabiano and nilmar to injuries during the world cup, then suppose ronaldo starts and then gets injured, dunga would be SLAUGHTERED for taking a striker who is so injury prone. this cannot happen. it would be unlucky but it could happen, and this is why ronaldo is not an automatic choice, and may not ever be, if this injury is the last one he gets between now and june AND loses “some” weight he may well be picked. however at the moment, it seems every couple of times he falls over he gets injured, and the world cup will be far more intense than the brazil league. fingers crossed, i am a ronaldo fan, but i also am realistic. a few months ago i would tell my friends that ronaldo could be at the world cup, however, as time has gone i can’t keep saying this so surely. no one can.

that is better news, if not good. that means he will be less than a month hopefully and he can arrive in shape for the preseason. you never know with thigh and hamstring injuries, if its torn and not pulled it can take months to heal and it doesn’t look serious at the beginning, you can always walk normal.
one thing is certain he needs to be completely fit come january 1.

But maybe he didn’t have liposuction! The media often writes shit about him like he has another son and seperated from his wife. Both stories were totally made up! And if he had a liposuction then surely not to lose much weight and to look thinner, because,as you mentioned,he wasn’t slimmer after the maybe-lipo.
