Ronaldo is one the main weapons of marketing in an attempt to bring in some crucial players to the Corinthians. Two major contracts desired by the club for the centennial year are, Riquelme from Boca Juniors and Roberto Carlos from Fenerbache. In addition to the financial backing that Ronaldo provides he will also help with negotiations in persuading both players to join the club.

Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo played together at Real Madrid. During his appearance on “Arena SporTV,” Ronaldo admitted that he has been lobbying for the hiring of his friend Roberto Carlos.

“Yes, I talked with Roberto Carlos, because the Corinthians are interested. There are other clubs interested, because he is an excellent player. He plays in a position that we have had difficulties in since the departure of André Santos. It would be a great hire for the centennial year,” expressed Ronaldo.

With Riquelme, he has expressed his desire to play alongside Ronaldo. Therefore, the Argentine has agreed to start negotiations with the Corinthians. Investors of the DIS and Marketing Director, Luis Paulo Rosenberg will meet with Boca Juniors on Thursday.

It could be as soon as the end of the week, when the Corinthians will announce the signing of Roberto Carlos.

Goal.com is such a shit page. The italian site of goal.com writes Ronaldo wants to lose 15kg in 7 months! bullshit,he enevr said this. He has to lose weight but not 15kg,he can’t lose 15,it would be ok if he loses 5 kg. I don’t belive he is 100kg or more now.The trainig pics look like he is maybe in the middle of 90,maybe 94,95,so it’s ridiculous to say he has to 15kg,he can’t be 80kg before WC2010. Anyway, I hope there will be no injuries anymore, then he will reach his goals for 2010!

where did you read that nameless, lol thats simply impossible. i dont even want ronaldo to lose that much weight, even if its possible which i doubt its not healthy and would probably make more problems than solve.

btw I pray its true that Roberto Carlos and Riquelme will go to Corinthians, that would make the team incredibly strong in attack and would completely replace Douglas and Andre santos, but they also need some help in defence, another DM to replace Cristian and possibly another centreback. I wish Roberto and Riquelme come, come on Ronnie please do everything you can to bring them

Yeah I visit goal.com daily and many of the articles put up there are absolute shit and no more than gossip or tabloid bullcrap. Eventually you come to understand what articles are and aren’t worth paying attention to on that site.

Would be amazing to see Ronaldo playing with Roberto Carlos and Riquelme. There would definitely not be a lack in delivery with those players on the pitch. He will score many goals with their aid.
