Roberto Carlos joins Ronaldo at Corinthians

ronaldo-roberto-carlos-2009-01

The Corinthians have confirmed the signing of Roberto Carlos, who will join the team on 4th January 2010. This is a great boost for the team and another big name signing for the club.

Now we just need Riquelme to join the club and we’re all set for the new season…Oh I forgot, we really need Ronaldo a slimmer Ronaldo in the new year as well.

If they don’t get Requilme they should try for Rivaldo.

Hello, i´m a Corinthians´fan and Roberto Carlos is a major signing this year (in December 2008 the world was stopped pq Ronaldo) now, in a somewhat smaller scale, Roberto Carlos. In Brazil, only speak of two …… Hugs

  5. Big daddy on December 16th, 2009 9:14 am

    Thats lovely news!

Col… to be honest i dont think ronald and rivaldo can actually play in one team..

Since two of the big brazil coaches believe in Ronaldos return to the WC then its stupied for not to believe so :)

  6. Col on December 16th, 2009 9:49 am

Why do you say Ronaldo and Rivaldo cannot play in the same team? They do not like eachother?

  7. fenton on December 16th, 2009 2:13 pm

In 2002 there was supposed to be a “rivalry” between Rivaldo and Ronaldo.

There was one point where they had both scored in every game. Then later R9 took the lead.

I think Rivaldo had 5 goals in 5 games, R9 had 5 goals in 4 games

  8. Adrian on December 16th, 2009 4:30 pm

Yes. There was a bit of pushing between’em but it was them that brought the 5th World cup to Brazil. Rivaldo the engine and Ronaldo the scorer. Ronaldinho had a great world cup too.

  9. kenny on December 16th, 2009 4:34 pm

to me the Ronaldo\Rivaldo rivalry is actually the kind of competition that every team needs among it’s top players, because look at the outcome they always won together. it’s not like they were a bunch of ego maniacs who disliked each other personally

  10. caca on December 16th, 2009 10:05 pm

and i thought c ronaldo was gay. wtf is this. is ronaldo really kissing roberto?

  11. Col on December 17th, 2009 12:09 am

caca – only people who are uncomfortable with their sexuality would give a shit that Ronaldo is giving Carlos a friendly kiss on the top of the head. It’s not like it’s on the lips or anything, get over it.

  12. Fernando J Capeletto on December 17th, 2009 5:23 am

    the big plan

corinthians bi-state (last time was in 82/83 with Socrates & Casagrande)

libertadores 2010 – (ronaldo is our ‘matrix-neo’ the chosen, the one for free the corinthians people for this conquist)

brasil hexa wc2010 ! (Nobody except brazil wins a title outside yourself continent, its time to confirm the rule) (with ronaldo putting c.r. in his smaller place)

for end, Corinthians Bi-World Champion Club in Dubai 2010 (with another lesson by the only ronaldo vs fake ronaldo).

  13. chen on December 17th, 2009 6:30 am

    Ronaldo:best player of the 90′s
Carlos:best left defender of the 90′s

They are all best in last 20 years, and ronaldo was best player ever

Look at this, anotehr strange vote of the footballer of the last decade. Here it’s Zidane but Ronalod is not in the list, but Cristiano and Beckham and Makelele and Nesta e.g. are in the Top 10 of the players of teh alst decade! looooooooooool
Some people really don’t know anything about football!!!

  20. nameless on December 20th, 2009 4:56 pm

Even Ronaldinho said Ronaldo would have deserved it more to be the player of the last decade, but here, Ronaldo is even not in the list! It was almsot Ronaldo alone who won the WC2002 after being sidelined for 1 1/2 years (I know it was a great team but Ronaldo was really crucial at the WC2002)! But I guess for some people means the winning of a WC not that much. They love showponys like Cristiano who make some tricks without being attacked just to have some applause! Some retarded people think that is football! I feel for them!

  21. Briyah on December 20th, 2009 7:02 pm

I think even if Corinthians should go after both Requilme and Rivaldo so it’s no longer going to be the 3 R’s but the 4 R’s.

Ronaldo for the 2010 WC most definely.

Guys,we have a new enemy! lol
This guy,Rodrigo Paiva,is the former assitent and spokesman of Ronaldo and the media in Brazil wrote he is the enemy of Ronaldo at the CBF!
The story behind: Ronaldo ended his professional relationship with this guy when he married at 2005.This guy didn’t want him to marry the woman (whyever). And now he is the spokesman of the CBF and every then and when, when something bad in Ronaldo’s life happens he can’t resist and say at his time with Ronaldo things like this wouldn’t have happened, like if it would have been stupid from Ronaldo to end his professional relationship with this guy. (After reading this,I congratulate Ronaldo for ending the business relationship with this idiot Rodrigo Paiva!) He also wasn’t invited at Ronaldo’s wedding in 2005.Since then their relationship is very cold. Paiva is also one of the guys at the CBF who vetoed Ronaldo calling up for the NT after the WC2006! Earlier this year Ronaldo said he has an enemy in the CBF and brazilian media said it’s this idiot Rodrigo Paiva.
By the way I also read this Paiva told to a friend who is an actress in Brazil that Ronaldo had depressions at WC2006 because he couldn’t get over his divorce 2005.This actress said it in an interview,I read it myself. He is really an idiot because it’s just speculations and he can’t tell people that’s like this and that without knowing what is really going on.
Anyway, the important thing is Ronaldo gets in shape and then, hopefully, no excuse will help Dunga,Teixeira and Paiva to veto Ronaldo for the WC2010!!!

  25. lols on December 21st, 2009 5:45 am

did u read the link below that article above posted by nameless? dunga seems confident of r9 return and being a strong willed person, i doubt dunga will let a pathetic veto get in the way of him calling up r9. simples. whoever plays well for their team will get called up, regardless of veto

Don’t know what the problem of thsi idiot is,he must be so in love with me,that he already started to use my name!

  32. zox on December 21st, 2009 3:50 pm

interesting, ronaldos fall from grace apparently started when he parted ways with rodrigo paiva.. i remember he was the man who brought him to real madrid. ronaldo really made mistakes when it comes to surrounding himself with the right personel. he also had a fallout with jose runco, the physio who brought him to shape weeks ahead of the wc2002. he surrounded himself with yes men and started to lose the plot.

  33. nameless on December 21st, 2009 3:50 pm

So if you guys read a comment of nameless it’s not always me,an idiot here tries to be me.

  34. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:01 pm

No,zox,it’s not true that Rodrigo was the right person.Rodrigo Paiva was the one who didn’t want him to marry in 2005,what is really stupid ebcause he just was his spokesman and it’s not his business if Ronaldo loves someone who he wants to marry! Paiva didn’t like the woman and she hated him too and didn’t want him at her wedding! And 2005 Ronaldo overweight when Rodrigo worked with him,but this woman he married was the one who made him fit again. The coach of the NT Parreira thanked back then this woman and said that whole Brazil thanks her because she made Ronaldo fit (she is a fitness freak I read). It had nothing to do with Paiva or Runco. Runco seems to be an idiot because I read a few times Runco criticising players publicly and one time he also criticised Ronaldo’s family and said things like the families of some players don’t care and are after the money.Ronaldo’s sister was very furious and criticised this doctor and I guess since then Ronaldo can’t get along with Runco really. Ronaldo’s weigth probelms began when he was at RM but back then, until 2005 Rodrigo Paiva worked with him and also Runco,so it’s not like he got fat because Paiva was not on his side! We all saw Ronaldo losing weight after the WC2006 under Capello and later at Milan,so it’s not like he needed Paiva and without him things were worse!
Rodrigo Paiva loves to hang out with celebrities, actors and sportsmen, but he is just the spokesman of the CBF and that’s thank Ronaldo because I don’t think he would have got this job if he wouldn’t have been famous because he was Ronaldo’s spokesman!

  35. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:07 pm

And I don’t think Ronaldo surrounded himself with yes men after WC2002,if you meant it this way. Because at RM he had no yes men,and as I wrote before his weight problems started later, but even then he managed again and again to lose weight (under Capello and Milan) but after his latest knee injury it’s more difficult for him to get fit than ever (age, injuries, rehabs) but I read today he is already in Rio de Janeiro and started some physio, his physiotherapist Maziotti said today. He will be in great shape next season if he isn’t sideliend for a while again. He knows himself he won’t be called up if he is not in shape! And I believe he wants to play at the WC2010.

  36. zox on December 21st, 2009 4:13 pm

paiva was his agent not just spokesman i think. and ronaldo didnt have weight problems until 2006, but his dedication and work rate on the pitch also. we know daniela cicarelli dumped him eventually so i guess paiva was right. and runco i cant thank him enough for what he did with ronaldo in 2002. without him the legend wouldnt have existed. the current physio bruno mazziotti looks like a nice guy, but hes not too interested in pushing ronaldo to become fitter.

  37. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:27 pm

No,they wrote he was his assistent/spokesman,I guess back then his agents were Pitta and Martens until they were charged because of money laundering.
Paiva is not right regarding Cicarelli, zox.If you love someone and a so-called-friend says to you don’t marry her,I don’t think you will say,ok,you are right! You never know if a relationship goes right or wrong but it’s not wrong to marry if both love each other. It’s not Paiva’s business to give him advice reagrding his relationship to a woman who he loves!
And I don’t believe really Runco was the one who made him fit because back then it was said it was Felipe Scolari and his physios, because a doctor can’t do much except giving you a diet plan, but you have to work with your physios and fitness guys. And if it was Runco why didn’t he make him fit for WC2006 or in 2005 or now?
Maziotti works for Ronaldo,it’s not possible he is not interested to make him fit, becuase he would lose his job if he would be totally desinterested. lol

  38. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:30 pm

And I forgot Maziotti was the guy who helped Ronadlo a lot to come back from his knee injury 2008. Ronaldo hismelf thanked him and said Maziotti even trained his leg when Ronaldo was sleeping. lol

  39. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:38 pm

I think Ronaldo has a very strong personality. In his case it doesn’t matter who is surrounding him because he makes it his way. He was always like this. He is not someone who does this and that because someone says it to him. E.g. if he wants to have a break in training then he has a break, doesn’t matter if his physio or agent or assistent or doctor says to him don’t have a break,go on. He has his own way to do things, his own rhythm,it was always like this.

  40. zox on December 21st, 2009 4:40 pm

maybe ur right about runco. but ciccarelli didnt really love ronaldo, so paiva was right. as for maziotti, he doesnt seem like he’s genuinely trying to improve ronaldos fitness, ronaldo doesnt care and why should he care then, but we’ll see.

  41. zox on December 21st, 2009 4:41 pm

eya but people close to him give him the mindset of what to do, if they are lenient so will ronaldo be.

  42. nameless on December 21st, 2009 4:56 pm

We don’t know if Cicarelli loved him (but she got even pregnant and lost the baby) but for me it’s always right to marry if 2 people love each other, even if it doesn’t go the right way. Ronaldo was also married to Milene Domingues and Paiva loves her but also this relationship ended, then this was also the wrong decision.
    But anyway,it’s over.
I think now Ronaldo does what he is convinced of,I don’t think he would do other things now when Paiva or someone else would be around him and says him what to do. But back in 2002 e.g. Ronaldo was much younger and more motivated and did what people including Paiva said to him. I think it’s the fact he is older now and is been through several things. Therefore I think it doesn’t matter who is surrounding him today,he isn’t the young guy anymore who listens to everybody and is totally motivated to develop himself further. He is just doing what is necessary to win titles and I’m sure now he will also do what is necessary to be called up for the WC2010.

when you use a “name” like nameless you clearly want to remain anonymous so who cares if someone else does the same. if you give yourself a proper name and then add a website the name will then turn red. this will make you standout more.

I’ll be honest with ya’ll. Ronaldo has very little chance of getting into the squad. Brazil is just not going to be the same anyways. It’s so systematic nowadays because of Dunga. They’re barely offensive they play without flow. I’m not even sure it will be as enjoyable to watch them this time.
