the thing wit Ronaldo is not about him scoring goals, we all know he can do that, imagine how much more effective he would be if he was fitter, because 2nd tier defeders in the Paulista are diff than world class defenders that will be in SF. its obvious he lost weight from the last time he played, i’d estimate about 2-3 kilos, he has no belly and looks fitter than last year. hes very close to his milan weight.
the problem is not fitness but his involvement in the game. he needs to make more runs and get closer to were the action is not stand on the top of the box all the time. of course there is gonna be 3 defenders on his back all the time that way.
Here Maziotti says Ronaldo said he doesn’t feel much pain anymore,he feels better but they won’t let him play on Sunday just to avoid risks.But if it would be a final game,Ronaldo surely would play, said Maziotti. Doesn’t sound like it’s a worse injury.

He looks so fat.. all of you who are dreaming to see Ronaldo in WC 2010, his injury at the end of 2009 killed all hope.. if he kept regaining match fitness and scoring goals at the same pace, he’d have a chance, but he is WAY too out of shape for a world cup tournament. People need to realize the WC is much, much diff than any league title run. Brazil will take it’s healthiest all-star team, and Ronaldo is just too far past his World Cup days

do you even remember him at milan? he was huge there as well. hes a huge guy at his optimal fitness, thats how he is.
i was shocked to see how much better he looks from the last game. there is practically no belly now. he looks like he lost 2-3 kg at least and that he is very close to weight of 90 kg.

Yeah,p2p,a WC is something totally different than anything else.That’s also something what Dunga knows and therefore he knows very very well he will have difficulties with no (WC-)experienced strikers like Fabiano,Nilmar and even Adriano (who has just WC 2006 experience).If you really think Dunga is convinced,I mean really convinced,that he will have no problems with his not experienced strikers at the WC,than you are dreaming.Surely Dunga needs Ronaldo and if he scores regulary and is in better shape, and this doesn’t mean 2002 shape,than he deserves to be called up and if he isn’t called up it’s just Dunga who is to blame,especially if Brazil loses the WC because no one of the not WC experienced strikers could really score! Fabiano had a good time but he has less experience,and at WC no experience,and to just rely on him is more than stupid! I’m convinced even Dunga knows this!
This article says it’s confirmed from the medical department of Corinthians that Ronaldo won’t play on Sunday,but the injury is not worse (thank God!) and they will do another test early next week to decide when he will play.I hope he can play Wednesday! It’s a fibrosis,a late effect of the injury he had against Flamengo.So it’s not a new injury, it’s something which can happen if you had a muscle strain. I don’t think he will be out for a long time,maybe just 1 or 2 games. We will see.
Wow,look at this. Someone from another forum posted this,and it’s a video of Ronaldo from June 2008 in Paris and I don’t know if it’s my eyes but he wasn’t really overweight! He looks really good! Now, I believe the Ibiza pics from the boat were a bit of fake!He even looks much better than now (even he is progressing now). Maybe the Ibiza pics were really at least a bit faked.It was taken by the english yellow press,I wouldn’t wonder if they fake pics.
just look at the difference in the size of his face between now and Milan Zox, he doesnt look anything like the same, he was big at the end of his Madrid career and he was big at the 2006 WC but he is ALOT bigger now then he was then.

i am being honest. the size of his face at milan was also huge, though i acknowledge that its bigger now. as i said he isn’t exactly milan weight but he is close to it – a couple of kilos away. and ultimately the size of the face is not very relevant.
he clearly lost weight from the previous game against bragantino.
