AC Milan have confirmed they will complete the signing of Ronaldinho on Wednesday.
The Rossoneri have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Barcelona and terms with the player.
After rejecting interest from Manchester City, Ronaldinho has agreed a three-year deal with the Milan club - keeping him at the San Siro until 2011.
Milan released a statement confirming the impending deal.
“AC Milan and Barcelona have reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Ronaldinho,” said the statement.
“The player will be in Milan [on Wednesday] to undergo a medical and sign a contract that will keep him at Milan until June 30 2011.”
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi confirmed that vice-president Adriano Galliani had finalised the deal.
“Galliani phoned me this evening and there has been a handshake,” he told Sky Italia.
“I have no reason to doubt it and tomorrow morning the contract will arrive.”
It is believed the final fee for Ronaldinho will be €18.5million (£14.6million) with the player earning an estimated €6.5million (£5.1million) per season.

Ronaldo ia currently out of contract and has not heard anything from AC Milan except the fact that Galliani was willing to give him a chance providing he was fit to play at the beginning of the season. Ronaldo’s physio has said he is way ahead of his scheduled return and should be able to run very soon.
After all this talk about his fitness, Ronaldo was pictured on his yacht smoking and looking a little overweight which I don’t think helps his situation.
However, PSV and Flamengo are still very keen on signing Ronaldo. Flamengo have stated that they will sign Ronaldo once he has recovered from his injury.
‘We have talked to Ronaldo’s agent,’ Fla president Marcia Braga said to globoesporte.com. ‘Once he has recovered and ready to play we are going to sit and discuss his contract.’

Ronaldinho’s brother and agent has delivered the news all Manchester City fans did not want to hear, stating the Brazilian is ’90 percent likely’ to join Milan.
Vice-president of the Italian giants Adriano Galliani stated on Thursday that Milan were favourites ahead of Chelsea to sign Ronaldinho.
The former World Footballer of the Year has previously described it as a ‘dream’ to play alongside compatriot Ronaldo every day, and Barcelona have made it clear they are willing to sell.
Roberto de Assis, Ronaldinho’s elder brother and father figure, has revealed a transfer to Milan is nearly done, and he also rubbished suggestions the Brazilian will move to the US.
“It’s true, he is likely to go to Milan,” De Assis told Telelombardia.
“Everything is ready for the transfer. It is 90% and we are heading in this direction.
“He will never play in the US. He will play a tournament in Houston for his sponsor, but a transfer to the USA is excluded.”
